Peanut Butter Bones...a special dog treat!
2 cups white whole wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup nonfat milk powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
2 large eggs
1/2 cup water
1. Combine flour oats, milk powder, and salt in a large bowl, stir to combine
2. Add peanut butter, honey, and eggs; beat at low speed until combined
3. Gradually add water, beating until dough comes together
4. Turn dough out onto a large sheet of parchment paper. Cover with a second piece of parchment paper. Roll to a 10x13-inch rectangle (1/2-inch thick). Chill for 1 hour
5. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
6. Cut dough into 3x1-1/2-inch rectangles (or use a dog-bone-shaped cookie cutter). Place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake 1 hour or until firm and golden brown. Yields 20 (3" treats)
